How is the breakfast? <\/strong>All Kuru packages include a signature breakfast by Remi Tr\u00e9mouille in Restaurant Solitary. Breakfast is served daily from 8.30 until 10.30.<\/p>\n

How close are the services of J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n?<\/strong> We are part of J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n Resort so all services are in walking distance. Kuru is a adults only part of J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n. From Kuru main building to J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n main building it is 800m. You are welcomed to use all services of the resort.<\/p>\n

How to arrive?<\/strong> If you’re arriving with car you can reach our resort parking area and enter the resort by foot. If you have a lot of luggage please collect the keys and visit your villa by car.<\/p>\n

What can I do at Kuru?<\/strong>
There’s a wide range of seasonal activities and we encourage booking activities before arrival to ensure we can facilitate the desired activities for you. The nearby nature offers safe and relaxing exploration with Fat Bikes, skis, snowshoes or hiking. During summertime we offer sup boarding, kayaking, ringed seal safaris ja guided naturescapes. Of course there’s a number of indoor experiences from LakeSpa, DaySpa, aerial yoga to sound massages. You can find a list of the activities here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Are pets allowed?<\/strong>
Even though we are very fond of pets, we don’t allow pets at Kuru. Other rooms in the J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n Resort offer pet rooms (Scenery Suites, Forest suites, Villas and House Boats –Read more<\/a>).<\/p>\n

What is the minimum age for visitors?<\/strong> We welcome visitors over 18 years old.<\/p>\n

Can I stay for just one night?<\/strong>
We offer unique experiences and want to ensure that you get to enjoy peace and quiet. We therefore recommend reservations of minimum of 2 nights.<\/p>\n

What is included in the price?<\/strong>
The price includes your own private Lake Villa\/ Lake suite with a luxurious breakfast. Other services depend on the holiday package you choose.<\/p>\n

Do you charge for parking?<\/strong>
No, parking for our guests is free. We have electrical outlets for wintertime and two charging stations which are also free of charge.<\/p>\n

What does the relaxation program include?<\/strong>
The program includes seasonal stress reducing classes such as breathwork, meditation, sound massage and slow yoga. You can also enjoy our signature “Kuru Experience” book full of ideas you can do autonomously. <\/p>\n

How do you ensure the peace and quiet at Kuru?<\/strong>
Every guest can enjoy their stay in total privacy. The area is open only for customers and staff. There are no motorized vehicles in the area (except for limited maintenance use) and the lake is restricted to non-motorized use only. The environment is extremely peaceful and every guest can feel totally immersed in nature. <\/p>\n

Is Kuru suitable for guests with moving disabilities?
<\/b>We are located in the middle of untouched forest with a lot of variability of terrain. We kindly ask you to inform us with any disabilities when booking so that we can ensure accessibility to your Villa. Our transfer service can also assist you in moving about the resort area.<\/p>\n

How are allergies or dietary restrictions taken into account?<\/strong>
All our menu items are lactose free and we adjust the items based on allergies and dietary restrictions. We kindly ask to be informed about any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking.<\/p>\n

Can I book Spa treatments on location?<\/strong>
We kindly ask you to book any treatments in advance. This helps to ensure that you can enjoy the desired spa experience and also choose the time you want. DaySpa is located in the Lake Spa.<\/p>\n

Does the Lake Villa have WiFi?<\/strong>
Each Lake Villa and the main building has a free Wifi for our guests. We strongly encourage all our guests to digital detox during their stay.<\/p>\n

Do I need to reserve dinner in advance?<\/strong>
We kindly ask you to book dinner in advance for your preferred sitting. Please notice that there are several restaurants. Restaurant Solitary in Kuru main building, Bistro and Wine Cellar in J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n. In summer we also do daily dinner cruises to the archipelago.<\/p>\n

How to arrive with a bus or train?<\/strong>
The nearest bus stop for busses from Savonlinna or Varkaus is about 3 kilometers from Kuru. The nearest bus stop for the bus from Helsinki is called Hiism\u00e4ki and it’s about 15 kilometers from Kuru. By train the nearest stations are  Savonlinna and Varkaus. We can arrange the transport to our resort from any of these locations. Please inform us about your timetable and we’ll gladly pick you from your stop.<\/p>\n

What time is the check-in and check-out?<\/strong>
Check-in time for each day is 3 pm. If the Villa is cleaned earlier we can offer an earlier check-in. Check-out by 11 am. You will receive your keys at J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n reception.<\/p>\n

How can I pay?
<\/strong>We accept the following payments: Mobile Pay, Visa, Mastercard and direct online bank payments. At location you can pay with bank card, VisaElectron, credic cards (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, American Express, Viking). If you prefer cash payment, please visit the J\u00e4rvisyd\u00e4n reception.<\/p>\n

How can I cancel or change my reservation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Online bookings can be changed and canselled directly from the reservation confirmation email. You can also always contact our reception for any changes.
