Dinner restaurant Solitary serves dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Solitary offers a surprise menu that is based on high quality handwork and seasonal ingredients:

“Everything we do is inspired by a passion towards great food and handwork. We want to offer our guests only the best there is and that is why every single detail is carefully considered. To us, a word ‘solitary’ does not only mean the secluded location of the restaurant and the resort, but also the trust we have to do the things in our own way. Instead of quantity we focus on quality, and that is why we only serve a seasonal Chefs Menu.”

Table setting are at 6pm-00.00am. Reservation is required and can be made at the reception as well as online.

Head Chef and owner of Solitary Remi Trémouille has travelled the world cooking in many of the most prestige restaurants but has now returned to his home town Rantasalmi. Passion for cooking  is reflected in everything he does and that is why every detail of our restaurant is carefully considered. Remi’s cooking brings together the best flavors of Finland and the world:

“The main ingredients are locally sourced but we complement them with some international flavors especially with herbs and spices”

The best part of running a restaurant in a small town is that we get to work closely with local stakeholders. The menu is always composed based on the available ingredients, rather than thinking about what we want to make first and then figuring out where to get it. We know where our products come from and can guarantee both freshness and quality. And the stories, lessons, and experiences we get to hear from producers provide us with incredible insights.
